Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented summer student to join our team as a General Administrative Support & Fundraising Coordinator. This role offers hands-on experience in administrative work, event coordination, and fundraising support within a collaborative, community-focused environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, documentation, and scheduling
  • Support program logistics and budgeting 
  • Help coordinate and plan fundraising events
  • Contribute to outreach and engagement efforts
  • Provide General organizational support as needed

Eligibility Requirements:

  • This position is only open to individuals who self-identify as First Nations (status or non-status) due to specific funding requirements
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in high school or post-secondary studies and returning to full-time studies after the summer
  • A criminal record check  is requires prior to the start of employment
  • Applicants are encouraged to self identify in their application materials to confirm eligibility 

Qualifications and skills

  • Currently enrolled in high school or a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies in fall
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, email, document management) 
  • Effective communicator and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • A valid driver's license is an asset
