Details

We are a before and after school child care program based out of Maquinna School. We guide and care for children person, who may know they have a passion for children, but who are still developing their career in a program setting ages kindergarten to grade 7 (6-12 years old). Our philosophy is largely based on nature, animals, plants and mentoring children to becoming connected and thoughtful community members. There is an opportunity for more hours during professional days and school breaks. Job specific training available for the right person.

Qualifications

The right person must love children and have outstanding tolerance for all the unique, beautiful and challenging stages that this age range requires.
Have a philosophy that harmonizes with Fern Valley’s
Able mind and body to experience the forest and outside year-round, willing to explore and develop our program based on their contributions
A growth mindset is also an asset to the small team
Skills in organizing, self-starter, curriculum planning
Strong communication skills

EDUCATION

ECE certified preferred
Minimum requirements are a Responsible Adult qualification
Current Emergency Child Care First Aid Certificate
Criminal record check
Must be 19 or over to apply.
