These positions are at a 44-bed Long-Term Care facility in Port Alberni. Responsibilities include delivering medications, wound care, and supervision of Care Staff. Documentation is on Point Click Care. Applicants need to be physically able to work (e.g.: pushing the med cart, positioning residents). BCNU recently implemented.
Applicant needs to be in good standing with the BCCNM, they must also be a graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and must be registered to work as a Registered Nurse. Special courses and seminars leading to sub-specialty in Geriatric Nursing is an asset. Previous experience with Long Term Care residents including supervision of Care Aides is preferred.
