Animal Ark is a locally owned pet supply store in Port Alberni, dedicated to providing quality products, knowledgeable service, and a welcoming environment for pets and their people.

Position: Retail Associate
As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for customers, caring for the in-store environment, and ensuring our shelves are stocked with the best in pet supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with product selection and advice
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
• Maintain store cleanliness and product displays
• Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise
• Provide basic support with our self-serve dog wash station and special events
• Contribute to a fun, supportive team environment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in pet supply and/or retail industry preferred
• Knowledge of pet care and products an asset
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be reliable, organized, and able to lift up to 40 lbs
