Details

Client-led contract to provide community inclusion support to clients with special needs. Work involves direct client support to develop life skills and social integration, or as directed by CLBC assessment. Work may occur in the client’s home or in the community. This position requires union membership.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

Community Service Worker Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience (3-5 years of direct experience with differently abled adults)
Ability to work independently
Excellent liaison skills
Full awareness of and ability to work within set clear boundaries
Experience with life skills and integration work
Experience working with adults 1:1 with developmental needs (3-5 years of experience)
Use of a reliable vehicle for work, and a full class 5 BC Drivers License with appropriate insurance
Successful criminal record check
Level 1 first aid with CPR
Food safe certification preferred
Knowledge of local resources and indigenous communities
Non-Violent crisis intervention training preferred
