Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Operations & Sales Manager to join our growing team. This role is primarily focused on sales and revenue growth, while also supporting the operational coordination of our publications.
The ideal candidate is a confident relationship builder, highly organized, and excited about working within a fast-paced, community-focused business.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development (Primary Focus)
- Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with local businesses
- Sell advertising opportunities across Valley Vibe and Vibe Publications products
- Identify new markets and expansion opportunities across Vancouver Island
- Travel to surrounding communities to grow the client base
- Meet and exceed monthly and seasonal sales targets
- Provide excellent client service and ongoing account management
Operations & Coordination
- Oversee and help manage print production timelines and deadlines
- Coordinate magazine content flow between contributors, designers, and clients
- Communicate with contractors, writers, designers, and distribution partners
- Ensure all advertising and editorial content is accurate and delivered on time
Creative & Support Tasks
- Assist with basic graphic creation (ads, social media, or promotional materials)
- Collaborate on content ideas and community features
- Support marketing and promotional initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales (required)
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Highly organized with strong time management abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Vancouver Island
- Experience with Canva and/or Adobe InDesign is considered an asset
- Familiarity with local business communities is a strong asset
