About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our team, specializing in the maintenance and repair of logging trucks. This role is critical to keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently in demanding conditions.

Key Responsibilities

* Inspect, diagnose, and repair logging trucks, trailers.

* Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, brake service, tire replacements, etc.)

* Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems

* Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations

* Maintain accurate service records and documentation

* Respond to breakdowns in the field when required

* Work closely with operators to identify and resolve equipment issues

Qualifications

* Proven experience as a heavy-duty or diesel mechanic

* Experience working with logging trucks or forestry equipment preferred

* Strong knowledge of diesel engines and electrical systems

* Valid driver’s license Class 5 (Class 1 Commercial license is an asset)

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and in remote environments

Working Conditions

* Outdoor and shop work in varying weather conditions

* Physically demanding role (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)

* May require overtime, weekends, or on-call work
