Details 

The Sous-Chef is responsible for directing food preparation, making sure everything is being done according to high quality standards and ensuring food safety at all times. The Sous-Chef is also expected to learn to operate the kitchen on his or her own in the absence of the Chef, which means understanding not only food preparation, cooking and timings but also ordering food, updating menus, etc. The Sous-Chef will also assist the Chef in the catering of weddings and other events at the Lodge.

 

Qualifications 

We have a beautiful open kitchen overlooking the ocean. This means all kitchen personnel interacts with guests on a daily basis, and thus need to be consumer-service oriented. The Sous-Chef also needs to have very good organizational skills, leadership and be detail-oriented.
