Employers - Post a Job

A NO-COST Wage Subsidy Work Experience Placement Service is available as an incentive for you to hire and provide skills training to eligible new employees (position must be 35 hrs./wk. minimum).

Please indicate on the Job Posting form if you are interested in hearing more about Wage Subsidy, and we will contact you to discuss eligibility.

Posting a job is FREE and easy!

Simply print and complete our JOB POSTING ORDER FORM, available by clicking HERE FOR PDF FORMAT or HERE FOR WORD FORMAT.

Once the form is completed, you can either fax or email it to us:

If you prefer, you can also simply email the complete job description, qualifications required, how to apply and deadlines to the above email address.

We will post your job vacancy on our website and add it to the job binders or job boards in our Resource Centres. We can also collect resumes for employers who specifically request this service; in these cases, it will be specified in the job posting and we will hold the resumes until the employer collects them. In our Port Alberni centre, we have space available for interviews or testing - please contact us for more information.

Employers need to ensure that their posting adheres to the guidelines as set out in the Employment Standards Act and the BC Human Rights Code.

Please note that jobs posted here will appear on our website only, and we only post jobs within the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District.

The Alberni Valley Employment Centre is not a recruiting agency. Employment opportunities posted are provided to assist unemployed individuals with returning to work. We do not pre-screen applicants or endorse their qualifications or capabilities.

We will not post any advertisements from the following business types or categories:

  • Recruiting agencies that charge a fee to applicants
  • Volunteer / Non-paid opportunities
  • International employers
  • Business or self-employment opportunities – this includes 100% commission postings
  • Advertisements containing inappropriate or defamatory information
