The Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ Government has a new career opportunity for an Indigenous Wellness Counsellor. The Indigenous Wellness Counsellor will provide a range of mental health and addiction services to individuals, couples and families, including children, youth and adults. This position works within the context of a client-centered, family centered and community-based perspective.
The Indigenous Wellness Counsellor will provide direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and group work and crisis intervention for individuals, couples and families. Creative Salmon is Canada’s first producer of certified organic farm-raised salmon, growing indigenous Pacific Chinook salmon at 4 farm sites in the waters of Clayoquot Sound near Tofino.
Farm Technicians are responsible for general farm operations such as net cleaning, basic maintenance, assistance during harvesting, feeding and care of fish, operating boats and equipment, as well as other tasks. As the majority of the work is performed outdoors, the ability to tolerate all weather conditions is important.
Because farming is a team effort, reliability and dependable attendance is mandatory.
As well as a competitive wage, after a three month probationary period, we offer a company paid benefits package. Crew transportation is provided from Ucluelet, Tofino and Long Beach communities.
Previous experience in an aquaculture or marine setting is an asset, but on-the-job training is provided.

The Ucluelet Brewing Company is looking to open its doors in July of 2019. The brewhouse will be 15hl (mashtun and kettle), with 5 15hl fermentors, 4 15hl brite tanks. All of this will be in the basement of a renovated church, with a lounge for approximately 65 people upstairs (inside) with an exterior deck for more patrons. In a unique floor plan, the brewhouse will be visible from above through our “beer portal”. The lounge will be a community hub, and will be family friendly (ability to brew in-house root beer a plus!).
The Head Brewer will start 10 weeks ahead of the planned opening so that she/he is on site for the arrival of the brewing system and subsequent set up. This will also give the person time to order recipe ingredients for the busy summer season.
You will have a well-rounded knowledge of brewing and beer types, and upon opening will produce 4-6 core beers with evolving and revolving other beer types. For the foreseeable future there are no plans to bottle or can (Crowlers are a possibility) for distribution other than through keg accounts. The Head Brewer will manage an assistant brewer for most of the year. You will be integral to the success of this business. No pressure...

Job Description: Maintain and execute all functions according to policy and procedure, safety requirements, and best practice. About us: The Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre (BMSC) is a shared satellite campus of five universities, operating educational programs from approximately February 1st to December 15th each year. BMSC is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island in the beautiful and remote village of Bamfield, British Columbia. Our kitchen provides healthy innovative meals for our student and research clientele as we strive to provide a "from scratch" culinary experience. The kitchen at BMSC is well equipped, clean, and fully functional to provide three meals a day for up to 150 diners.
