Job Listings for Tofino

This Job Posting page is updated daily with local postings directly from employers, WorkBC, other websites, and from newspapers. We only include listings for jobs in the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District of Vancouver Island BC. Job-seekers are encouraged to check for additional postings on other websites, like those listed in the Job Postings section of our Links page.

A job listing on this page in no way implies that Alberni Valley Employment Centre has any knowledge of or provides endorsement for the products, services, or employment practices of an employer. The Alberni Valley Employment Centre is not a recruitment service, and we are not responsible for any arrangements made between employers and applicants.

Some employers ask that their business name be omitted from a job posting; we respect that request and will not provide the name to applicants.

Jobs without specified deadlines are listed for two weeks, and postings may be pulled at any time on the request of the employer.

Please apply to jobs exactly as instructed in the "How To Apply" section of job posting or by following the link provided.

DETAILS

Are you inspired by adventure? Are you looking to live on the wild west coast of Canada?

Tofino Resort + Marina is an adventure-focused resort located on the waterfront in beautiful Tofino, British Columbia, and is also the proud home of 1909 Kitchen and The Hatch Waterfront Pub. Set in the heart of town, on the water, Tofino Resort + Marina is a base camp for adventures of all types. We serve the authentic Tofino experience, from the food to the fishing to the surf breaks of Long Beach.

Tofino Resort + Marina has been renovated, refined and remade to be really rad. Now we need someone to tell our story. Are you dynamic, motivated, and eager to learn about marketing? Have you been looking for a way to live, work and play in Canada’s premier west coast destination? If so, we have the gig for you. But only if you market like a madman or wild woman.

About the Role.

We want to build an incredible team for an incredible purpose.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator performs a variety of marketing, communications and administrative tasks to execute on the marketing plan. We are looking for a creative team player who enjoys collaborating on projects to build a company’s brand, drive sales and enhance the customer experience. This role is an execution role, and will require that you be very organized, that you follow-through on your initiatives and that you make sure you keep all the balls in the air. This role would be perfect for someone with 1-2 years of previous marketing experience looking to grow and learn about online and offline marketing. You will have the chance to work on multiple channels, multiple projects, and you’ll be accountable for some while learning about the others.

Our marketing team is small, but we are curious, humble, driven, compassionate, tenacious, autonomous, friendly, independent, collaborative, communicative, supportive and self-motivated. We want to work with people who love marketing but who are also interested in making Tofino a better place for its community and the environment. The ideal candidate is outcomes-focused, a self-starter who proactively identifies and solves problems and continuously seeks ways to move our entire marketing team forward.

  • You get it. Like, really, really get it. Tuned in, tapped in, smarter than the rest…but humble enough to not say it.
  • You’re all in. You want your results to speak for themselves.
  • Are you community-minded? We want Tofino to flourish as richly as Tofino Resort + Marina. When the tide rises, it floats all boats.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, why not say hello?

What You Do.

  • Liaison between Marketing Manager, TRM staff and our fabulous team of contractors (PR firm, Photographers, videographers, graphic designers and story tellers)
  • Keep the community of Tofino and the world up to date with events. Work closely with the restaurants and room division to update the website content, Facebook events and local advertising.
