Working as part of the Housing Team to provide housing service for all tenants and deal with general enquiries on a wide range of housing related issues and involves making agreements and arrangements in respect of tenants’ accounts and supporting the Housing Team.

• Provide support, guidance, and assistance to the Nation’s Housing Committee.
• Provide administrative back up to Housing Team, inputting data on to computerized systems.
• Send standard letters and non-standard letters as and when required by Housing.
• Track and collect rent payments, as well as security deposits, and follow-up and address late payments and assistance in Eviction delivery.
• Assist in the process of acquiring tenants by marketing available units, accepting and reviewing applications, and preparing and tracking rental agreements.
• Coordinate move-in and move-out dates, including unit inspections and related paperwork.
• Ensure that the Nation’s housing policies and by-laws are consistently implemented and enforced throughout the communities.
• Work with tenants to resolve housing concerns and complaints and maintain a record of issues addressed.
• Maintain a record of required housing maintenance and assess and prioritize work to be assigned to the repair and maintenance staff.
• Deal with enquiries in the absence of the Housing Manager and cover responsibilities to the best of your ability/capacity during periods of absence.
• Undertake any other duties which may be reasonably assigned to you by the Housing Manager, Chief Executive Officer and/or Chief Financial Officer.

Each day we prepare a meal that is served buffet style to our guests. Depending on our occupancy, it may vary from a three course dinner to a simple soup or pasta buffet. Middle Beach Lodge is looking for a server to complete its kitchen team! We are hoping for our successful candidate to begin ASAP.

Dinner Server:

Duties include but are not limited to: Setting the tables, prepping the dining room and welcoming guests once dinner starts, serving desserts, busing tables, dish washing and cleaning the kitchen and dining room after dinner service. Hours are typically 5pm until 11pm (but are subject to change).

Breakfast Attendant:

Duties include but are not limited to: Opening the lounge and dining room each morning, getting everything ready for our deluxe continental breakfast (including baking), refilling food and supplies as needed throughout breakfast, caring for our coffee/tea bar, washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen and dining room when breakfast is over. Breakfast attendants are also expected to help our Chef with prep cooking for dinner for the last 2 hours of their shift and putting away food orders when delivered.

Creative Salmon is Canada’s first producer of certified organic farm-raised salmon, growing indigenous Pacific Chinook salmon at 4 farm sites in the waters of Clayoquot Sound near Tofino.

Farm Technicians are responsible for general farm operations such as net cleaning, basic maintenance, assistance during harvesting, feeding and care of fish, operating boats and equipment, as well as other tasks. As the majority of the work is performed outdoors, the ability to tolerate all weather conditions is important.

Because farming is a team effort, reliability and dependable attendance is mandatory.

Arbutus Health is a multidisciplinary clinic offering Acupuncture, Naturopathic Medicine and Registered Massage Therapy, working closely with other registered health care providers within our community. We have 3 beautiful treatment rooms in our top floor office and a part time receptionist providing booking and advertising. Tables are provided and linens/oil can be arranged if necessary.

TITLE:   Child Care Worker – Part Time  DEPARTMENT:  Financial Services CLOSING DATE: This position will remain open until it is filled.   
 
 
Position:  The Community Children’s Centre, located on the Westcoast of Vancouver Island, in Tofino BC, is seeking a Child Care Worker on a part time basis.  Reporting to the Daycare Supervisor, the Child Care Worker assists with the day-to-day operations of the Community Children’s Centre.   In accordance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act – Child Care Licensing Regulation, a Child Care Worker must:  Be at least 19 years of age  Be able to provide care and mature guidance to children  Possess an Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate in BC   Possess a current Child Safe First Aid certificate  Have relevant work experience 
 

Hours of Work & Salary:  This position is a part time position of up to 15 hours per week.  The hourly rate for a Child Care Worker is $20.61.  This position is subject to a probationary period during which time the wage will be $18.55.  As this position is a union position (CUPE Local 118), all terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the Collective Agreement.
