Reporting to the Strata Manager the Building Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the upkeep of a beautiful and unique 33 unit condo in the heart of Ucluelet.

We will count on you to keep this building at its best inside and out. We are seeking an individual who will love our building as much as the owners do and will take pride in making it run efficiently and always look its best for the retail owners, the residential owner, and our guests.

60 hours a month; compensation dependant on qualifications.  Expectation is for a check-in 5 days out of 7.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance
  • Complete administrative duties, such as filling out monthly forms reporting maintenance statuses to our Strata Manager
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations. Must have current WCB standing
  • Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and report these to our Strata Manager
  • Maintain the outside of the building including parking lot and landscaping
  • Additional daily, weekly and monthly tasks as requested by the Strata Manager
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+years of experience
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from the Strata Manager
  • May be required to work outside of normal work hours
  • WCB must be current
