Details 
We are looking for a temporary Kitchen Manager. The position will start immediately with a set end date in November 2021.
  • Scheduled either Tuesday through Saturday or Wednesday through Sunday
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the overall workflow of the Kitchen. This person’s primary focus is managing the Kitchen Team’s schedule and responsibilities while finding efficiencies to help food service run smoothly for Twin City staff and for guests as well. While the Kitchen Manager is involved in menu development and overall food service, uniting, and managing the team is a priority for this role.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Communicating and directing the team towards goals and improvement in food quality, workflow efficiencies, as well as overall team motivation and satisfaction.
  • Keeping a written communication log that is updated daily
  • Writing memos and announcements to the team and ensuring they are read and followed
  • One-on-one meetings with team members when necessary
  • Developing, ordering, and prepping ingredients for primary featured items (pizzas, burgers, entrees, etc.) as well as bringing in regular menu ingredients and supplies on a regular basis
  • Develop and implement the team’s schedule including prep shifts, lunch/dinner coverage, dishwashing, and closing shifts
  • Involved in interviews, hiring, and disciplinary processes
  • Organize food and supply inventories
  • Consistent cold/frozen/dry storage systems for the team to follow
  • Biweekly inventory counts
  • Ingredient tracking, item costing, invoice reporting within our inventory tracking software
  • Ongoing communications with Kitchen Team to ensure food service is operating in a smooth manner and issues are being addressed when necessary
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Ongoing team training and cross-training in prep, ordering, routine maintenance of equipment
  • Assist the Assistant Kitchen Manager in tasks when necessary.
  • Touching base regularly with other supervisors and management staff to ensure smooth operations when not onsite
 
Qualifications 
Requirements
  • Foodsafe certified
  • Relevant management and/or kitchen experience
  • Able to multi-task and perform well in an environment that may sometimes be loud, fast paced, and have frequent disruptions
  • Comfortable on their feet for long periods of time
  • Capable of lifting 50lbs
