Experienced Barista

We are hiring for our Coffee Bar team: Experienced Barista – Part-time seasonal.

The Foggy Bean Coffee Bar is looking for summer seasonal members for our team. Positions to start training early July and continue until September 2nd. There is a possibility to continue into the Fall and Winter. If you like precise measurements, “nerding out” on espresso pours and perfectly texturing milk/milk alternatives then we want to connect with you. Our focus is coffee – so if your looking to grow your skills in a coffee primary kitchen, then consider joining us. Our team is small and professional and the pace is fast and fun during the summer season. We are open year-round for takeaway with seating on a seasonal outdoor patio. We pour our own coffee which is roasted at our headquarters in Ucluelet.

Duties:

• Confidently dial in and pour espresso, adjusting the grinders & pour as needed

• Steam milk and milk alternatives for various espresso drinks and tea lattes

• Prepare iced drinks, a local tea menu and filter coffee

• Take customer orders, process payments and cash-outs

• Welcome customers and demonstrate product knowledge

• Work independently as well as part of a small team

• Maintain a clean and well organized work space

• Open and closing duties. Including dishwashing, cleaning front and back-of-house, resetting the space for next day service and restocking retail items
