 Shipwreck Pizza is looking for a part-time/full-time morning prep cook to join our team! You will be responsible for opening the kitchen in the morning and prepping the day’s dough, sauces, proteins, produce, etc. Candidate must be able to work quickly and efficiently by themselves multitasking and planning out their prep days. Candidate must be able to keep a clean kitchen and follow procedures and recipes as instructed. The prep position is the foundation of our restaurant’s quality and the right candidate must have a desire and passion to maintain this standard.

 

Hours depend on work load – roughly 8-hour days beginning at 7-8 AM and longer days/earlier starts in the busy summer season. Tips are dealt out bi-weekly between paychecks (roughly $7-8/hour extra, up to $10-$11/h in the busy summer season). Benefits available after probationary period. Bonus structure will be discussed with committed long-term and full-time staff member. Housing available immediately.

Qualifications 
  • Being able to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Being able to work well independently and with others as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and adapt to our kitchen standards and practices
  • Ability to work quickly and multitask with heavy prep-loads in our summer months
  • Food Safe Level 1 required (We will pay for the course for the right candidate)
  • Two years of kitchen experience required
