Details 

We are looking for friendly, guest and team orientated individual to assist our front desk team. The right candidate will have experience interacting with guests, be responsible for completing administrative tasks and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment. A personable Front Desk Associate will enjoy the opportunity to help build and maintain relationships with guests while working in a high-energy and fun environment. At present the position is two nights per week with additional shifts scheduled through Summer Season.  

Duties and Responsibilities

·       Greet and welcome all guests who travel through the lobby in a warm and thoughtful manner seeking to anticipate guest’s needs and provide service

·       Answer and direct all incoming phone calls and emails received

·       Recording and passing on messages in full, to both guests and other operating departments

·       Ensuring the entire front desk space is welcoming, neat, professional and presentable

·       Upholding professional, friendly, efficient and effective work composure

·       Preparing check in and check out documents for arrivals and departures

·       Register arriving guests, assign rooms and receive payments

·       Take, cancel and change room reservations

·       Provide information on hotel facilities and services

·       Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages

·       Provide customer service

·       Provide general information about points of interest in the area

Qualifications 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·       Knowledge of computers and Microsoft office.

·       Ability to professionally deal with all guests in all circumstances.

·       Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

·       Ability to work under pressure and to multitask.

·       MUST be a team player and able to work seamlessly with every department in the hotel to achieve exceptional service.

What does an ideal candidate look like?

·       Excellent communication and customer service skills

·       Front desk experience is an asset but NOT required

·       Must be able to work weekend, afternoon, evening, and holiday weekend shifts.

·       Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
