On behalf of the Harm Reduction Round Table for Youth Service Providers, ADAPS is hiring a part-time Harm Reduction Project Coordinator.

This exciting opportunity is funded by the Overdose Prevention and Education Network. Interested applicants should have an in-depth understanding of current SU trends in youth, and knowledge of evidence based practice in the SU field.
This unique role requires  a dynamic individual who possesses a range of skills in the following areas: Coalition convening and coordination, project planning ,  Universal Harm Reduction Principles,  community collaboration and the ability to deliver individualized support to high risk, substance using youth.

 

The HRPC will work approximately 15 hours per week. Duties include:
• Coordinate the  9 monthly convening of the HRRT Y Coalition and its’ Youth Advisory Table
• Plan, manage, and help deliver 6 youth trainings and 2 events over 10 months as directed by the HRRT Y.
• Liaise weekly with community partners to identify at risk youth in need of harm reduction support, and help connect those youth to appropriate services.
Qualifications 
Desired Qualifications:
• Five years combined experience, training and education in a field of practice relevant to community development and service to youth.
• Demonstrated ability to engage youth who possess multiple risk factors to substance misuse.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver service to diverse populations, including LGBTQ Youth
• Demonstrated ability to deliver service to Indigenous youth in a culturally safe manner.
• Demonstrated ability to developed collaborative relationships across multiple disciplines.
• Experience in event planning.
• Experience with utilization-focused evaluations.
