About TUCG

The Tofino Ucluelet Culinary Guild (tucg) is a non-profit, member-driven organization that works to connect our communities’ restaurants, families, businesses and grocery stores with Vancouver Island and regional independent farmers and food producers.  Through group buying and education we strive to make local food more accessible and affordable while providing a reliable market for some of our province’s best producers.  In the past seven years we have become one of Vancouver Island’s most dynamic local food hubs, which includes restaurant relationships, wholesale distribution, online ordering for residents, a local good food box program, community markets and programs.

 

Who We Are Looking for

We are seeking a team member that is detail oriented, enegetic and personable individual.  Your key role within the organization will be to help ensure interactions with our members are positive, seamless and informed. Any candidate who applies should take pride in their ability to provide genuine hospitality and love keeping an organized office.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist with the organization and distribution of farm-direct orders for our family, community, restaurant, and business members in Tofino, Ucluelet, and other communities
  • Manage our weekly good food box program in Tofino and Ucluelet
  • Assist with recruiting new members and managing relationships
  • Manage weekly administrative duties such as member communications, data input,  simple bookeeping, accounts receivable, ordering supplies, keeping the office and warehouse organized
Qualifications 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Independent worker
  • Physical ability to lift and move boxes
  • Open to work evenings (usually 2 days a week)
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office familiarity
  • Great customer service and interpersonal skills
