TITLE:   Child Care Worker – Part Time  DEPARTMENT:  Financial Services CLOSING DATE: This position will remain open until it is filled.   
 
 
Position:  The Community Children’s Centre, located on the Westcoast of Vancouver Island, in Tofino BC, is seeking a Child Care Worker on a part time basis.  Reporting to the Daycare Supervisor, the Child Care Worker assists with the day-to-day operations of the Community Children’s Centre.   In accordance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act – Child Care Licensing Regulation, a Child Care Worker must:  Be at least 19 years of age  Be able to provide care and mature guidance to children  Possess an Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate in BC   Possess a current Child Safe First Aid certificate  Have relevant work experience 
 

Hours of Work & Salary:  This position is a part time position of up to 15 hours per week.  The hourly rate for a Child Care Worker is $20.61.  This position is subject to a probationary period during which time the wage will be $18.55.  As this position is a union position (CUPE Local 118), all terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the Collective Agreement.
