Our goals are accomplished through public education, citizen research and monitoring, and advocacy. The vision is simple: to keep Clayoquot Sound clean and green for future generations, to preserve the diversity and integrity of the ecosystems, and to maintain and develop community and cultural richness.

We are currently looking to build a team to increase our capacity to run strategic, people-powered campaigns to protect wild salmon.
We currently have an opportunity for a passionate, detail-oriented west coaster to join our growing team in our new Office Administrator role.

The successful candidate will report to the ED and perform administrative and fundraising tasks to support the work of the organization.

You are:

• Passionate about protecting Clayoquot Sound
• Interested in working with a strategic and action-oriented organization
• Detail-oriented and a self-starter
• Keen on writing (and following) documentation
• Work well with a task-oriented schedule
• Interested in growing with the organization
• Flexible and willing to pitch in where needed

Experience or training in the following would be considered strong assets:
• Office management including maintaining a clean and organized office, payroll, filing, paying bills and other tasks
• Cashflow management (familiarity with Excel an asset)
• Using and updating data within a Customer Relationship Management database—especially Salesforce experience
• Processing donations including engaging with donors and sending and receiving snail mail

Clayoquot Action offers a flexible and rewarding work environment.
