Licensed Practical Nurse

The Port Alberni Association for Community Living is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide advice and guidance to the Residential Manager(s) on a variety of areas relating to the health of the clients. It is expected that they maintain a high standard of client care through the development, coordination and evaluation of personal care techniques and procedures. The LPN will work with the physician, pharmacist and program manager to ensure medication protocols are regularly reviewed and revised as necessary. They will also provide training and education on health related issues to Managers and Residential Support Workers as necessary. They will evaluate nursing care needed in accordance with the competency guidelines within the Professional Standards outlined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC and the current legislative scope of practice.  The duration of this temporary assignment is December 2020-August 2021.
