The registered nurse position offers you the opportunity to provide medical and patient centered nursing care, complete health histories, physical examinations, and mental status assessments, develop and implement treatment plans using a variety of treatment approaches, develop, implement, evaluate, and update a client care plan.

Conduct nursing-educational support and treatment groups for patients/clients, administer and assess the effects of prescribed medication and treatments, assess, report, and respond appropriately to observed behavioral changes, plan and implement strategies to promote optimal mental and physical health and well-being of clients, serve as advocate for clients and families.

Nursing diagnosis, planning for care, intervention and evaluation that have significant impact on the client’s medical condition, safety, as well as ultimate recovery. This position reports to Director of Health and Social Services.

Qualifications 

Education/ Certification/Training

  • Current active RN licensure in British Columbia mandatory.
  • Nurse Practitioner licensure accepted as well
  • More than 1/ 2 year of experience required.
  • Clean background check
  • Valid BC driving license required.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Specialized Nursing courses from a recognized program.
  • Current licensed/registered with the BCCNP.
  • Nurse Practitioners are welcome to apply and will be compensated accordingly.
  • Basic life support for healthcare providers.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant Nursing experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and wellness programs.
  • You will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, proficiency with computers, maintain accurate records, document and reports. Previous experience with electronic charting systems (EMR) an asset.
