Details 

On both commercial and residential size projects:

  • Assist with framing, siding, window installation, exterior finishing, flashing and general carpentry/construction tasks
  • Hands-on experience working with wood and other construction material
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Follow project plans, safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
  • Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions
  • Operate variety of power and hand tools
  • Follow safety policies and protocols
  • Follow Foreman directions and carry out assigned tasks

Opportunity to advance into apprenticeship.

Qualifications 
  • Carpentry or construction experience is an asset
  • Fall protection, WHIMIS, first aid tickets an asset (training can be provided)
  • Physically fit; able to lift minimum of 50lbs
  • Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Team player – work well with others
  • Valid driving license an asset
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good communication skills
  • Willing to work 5 days a week, with opportunities for overtime
