The Office & HR Coordinator is an essential role in supporting the overall smooth and efficient operations of the resort.  This role will be key in assisting all managers with their administration and Human Resources responsibilities. Overall knowledge of the operation will be required to provide support to all departments as required.  The role requires the ability to recognize that assistance is required and respond appropriately without being asked.  Employee engagement is a key component and professional and positive interaction with staff from their first day to final pay-cheque is imperative.  As the Coordinator they must demonstrate that they are knowledgeable and proud of the product that we offer and is continually engaging others to be part of our success. 

Job Outline

  • Champion Health and Safety Committee
  • Conduct New Associate Orientation.
  • Receive and respond to HR@ and Careers@blackrockresort.com
  • Sort incoming resumes by department and provide to Departmental Managers.
  • Conduct pre-screening interviews as required by departmental managers.
  • As required by departmental Managers, post positions both internally and externally.
  • Responsible for ensuring Vacation, Benefit, and other various forms are available in the staffroom.
  • Creating and maintain Employee files from hire date to termination.
  • Continually search for ways of improving the employee experience.
  • Responsible for coordinating Staff Events, Internal Town Hall Meetings, and the Employee of the Month program (Rock Star Program)
  • Responsible for the on-boarding of staff housing

General Administration

  • Receive and fulfill office supply requirements.
  • Provide Front Office relief for breaks and during peak volumes.
  • First contact to escort guests and potential owners on room tours.
  • Attend Operation meetings and provide minutes.
  • Assist Managers with projects
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications 

Education/Experience

  •  Post-Secondary School is an asset with a preference given to those with a Business or Human Resources focus.
  •   Previous experience managing a business – preference given to management in a hospitality business
  •  Bilingual or multi-lingual is an asset
  •  Solid understanding of Benefits and Benefit Plan management
