Early Childhood Educator

The Ucluelet Children’s Centre is looking to hire an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our growing team. This is a full time position, available immediately, for the right candidate.  

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Ensuring a safe, healthy and secure environment for children to learn and grow
• Providing appropriate guidance and positive interactions with children, at all times
• Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programming
• Establishing and maintaining positive, supportive relationships with children, parents, and co-workers
• Promoting a healthy sense of community, respect, and cultural learning activities/experiences                             
• Being organized and maintaining an orderly, clean environment
• Supervising and collaborating with educators and floor support team (ECE Assistants/RA’s)                       
• Assisting Daycare Manager with staff scheduling and planning
