Creative Salmon - Canada’s first producer of certified organic farm-raised salmon, growing Pacific Chinook at four sites in the waters of Clayoquot Sound near Tofino - requires a deckhand, primarily for its harvest vessel.
The position involves prepping the vessel for harvest, travel to farms, conducting harvest, monitoring the holds, offloading, clean-up/sanitation, and basic vessel upkeep.
Previous experience in an aquaculture or marine setting is an asset, but on-the-job training is provided. Driver’s license required.
Tickets required Small Domestic Vessel Basic Safety (previously called MED A3) and Restricted Operator Certificate ─ Maritime (ROC-M).
