Support Worker

Join Our Team at Teachable Moments Services

Make a real impact every day by supporting children, youth, and adults with exceptional needs to build independence, confidence, and live meaningful lives both at home and in the community.

At TMS, we offer flexible scheduling while still maintaining consistency within your assigned rotation. We understand that life outside of work matters, and we do our best to create schedules that fit your life while also ensuring the stability the people we support rely on.

What You’ll Do

At TMS, this work is about more than tasks it’s about supporting people to live meaningful lives in a way that feels safe, connected, and real.

You’ll be walking alongside the individuals we support in their day-to-day lives helping them get to school, be part of their community, maintain relationships with family, and stay connected to their culture and identity.

In our children’s homes, especially, a big part of the role is helping create a warm, steady environment. That often looks like cooking meals, keeping the home clean and organized, supporting routines, and being a consistent, caring presence in their space.

You’ll also support daily living needs like hygiene, routines, and, at times, medication but the focus is never just on completing tasks. It’s about how you show up in those moments, and how that support helps someone feel safe, capable, and supported in their own life.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for reliable, grounded people who show up ready to work and follow through on expectations.

You care about making a difference, but you also understand the importance of consistency, structure, and accountability in this work.

You can follow written and verbal direction, communicate clearly, and work within established policies and procedures.

Experience and education are assets but not required. We provide training and are committed to investing in people who are willing to learn and do the job well.

Pay & Incentives

Awake Frontline: $23.50 – $28.00 per hour

Overnight (Rest-Based Shifts): $21.00 – $24.00 per hour

Medical and dental benefits available after 6 months (full-time employees)

Pay is based on experience, education, and role.

Retention Bonus:

Part-time: $250 at 6 months, $500 at 12 months

Full-time: $500 at 6 months, $1000 at 12 months

Requirements

All employees must have valid CPR at the time of hire.

A valid driver’s license with a clean abstract is required.

A criminal record check and HUB clearance must be completed.

Why TMS

Many staff choose TMS because of the type of support we provide and the genuine ability to make a difference in the lives of others.

Pay matters we understand that. At the same time, many staff choose TMS because of how the work actually feels day-to-day.

Our shift structures, including overnight shifts with rest time, allow for longer, more consistent hours. Our homes are calm, supported, and intentionally set up for both the individuals living there and the staff working in them.

For many, that combination creates a work environment that feels more sustainable and supportive over time.

Our homes are intentionally designed to feel like homes, not facilities.

Our focus is on consistency, relationships, and creating spaces where both staff and the individuals we support feel safe, supported, and set up for success.

We provide hands-on training, clear expectations, and a leadership team that is present, responsive, and engaged.

This is a place where the work matters but how the work feels, day-to-day, matters too.

If you’re looking for a role that is steady, meaningful, and grounded in real connection, we’d love to hear from you.
