Coordinator - Youth Learning & Leadership Summer Camp

About the role: Westcoast Community Learning Hub is seeking a Coordinator role to lead and support our Youth Learning & Leadership Summer Camp. These roles involve planning, organizing, and facilitating dynamic and inclusive camp experience focused on youth leadership development and community engagement. The Camp serves children aged 10 and older and is structured with approximately 60% educational activities and 40% recreational activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist in the daily operations of the summer camp
• Facilitate leadership and learning activities for youth participants
• Support youth engagement and community-building initiatives
• Ensure a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment
• Manage communications with parents, staff, and community partners

Qualifications:

• Experience working with youth in leadership or educational settings
• Knowledge in technology and art
• Physically fit to engage in active camp activities
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
• Familiarity with Indigenous culture and community engagement is an asset
