Building Maintenance Worker

Respond to repair requests and make minor repairs and adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems - contact tradespersons for major repairs. Perform routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. Make minor purchases as required. Perform daily inspections on the building systems and ensure smooth operation of the building systems. Provide general assistance to skilled trade persons such as mechanics, electricians, carpenters, plumbers, painters, and roofers. Coordinate the preparation of rooms and guest units prior to their arrival. Ensure that security and safety measures are in place. Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies. Supervise other staff members.
