Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Operations & Sales Manager to join our growing team. This role is primarily focused on sales and revenue growth, while also supporting the operational coordination of our publications.

The ideal candidate is a confident relationship builder, highly organized, and excited about working within a fast-paced, community-focused business.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development (Primary Focus)

  • Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with local businesses
  • Sell advertising opportunities across Valley Vibe and Vibe Publications products
  • Identify new markets and expansion opportunities across Vancouver Island
  • Travel to surrounding communities to grow the client base
  • Meet and exceed monthly and seasonal sales targets
  • Provide excellent client service and ongoing account management

Operations & Coordination

  • Oversee and help manage print production timelines and deadlines
  • Coordinate magazine content flow between contributors, designers, and clients
  • Communicate with contractors, writers, designers, and distribution partners
  • Ensure all advertising and editorial content is accurate and delivered on time

Creative & Support Tasks

  • Assist with basic graphic creation (ads, social media, or promotional materials)
  • Collaborate on content ideas and community features
  • Support marketing and promotional initiatives as needed
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales (required)
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with strong time management abilities
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Vancouver Island
  • Experience with Canva and/or Adobe InDesign is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with local business communities is a strong asset
