Sales Supervisor - Retail

Driftwood Gift Shop, a family-owned retail store in beautiful Tofino, BC, is seeking a dependable and motivated Sales Supervisor to join our team. As a key team leader, you’ll help oversee the daily operations of the store, support staff, and contribute to a positive customer experience in our fast-paced, seasonal retail environment.

Key Duties:

• Support day-to-day store operations under the guidance of the Store Manager
• Supervise and assist sales staff during shifts
• Provide training and guidance to new and existing team members
• Help maintain store cleanliness, product displays, and merchandising standards
• Ensure excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries and concerns
• Assist with inventory tracking, restocking, and receiving shipments
• Operate the POS system and oversee cash handling during assigned shifts
• Help ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies
• Communicate effectively with management and contribute to a positive team environment

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school required
• 2+ years of experience in a retail or customer service role; supervisory experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Comfort with POS systems and basic retail operations
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for extended periods
